1. if you are using only Android java code with no NDK or other weird staff in your app, it is quite easy to upgrade. At least you can re-create the project from scratch into Android Studio. The file structure is quite similar, so you should be able to copy-paste most part of code files and resources.

not to mention this version is almost 7 years old.. So i'd say android 8.0 will be supported for another at least 4-5 years. But won't get updates though. I wouldn't be happy to run an android version that old but oreo is still kind a recent, sadly. Apps get updates.
