⚾ Is The 2010 Bmw X5 Reliable
The last year of production always tends to be the most problem free. We had a 2007 E70 X5 (first year of production) and it was rather problematic, especially when compared to our 2013 E70 (last year of production). It has been extremely reliable. Model year 2018 is the last year of production for the F15 X5.

The BMW X5 received rave reviews when it was launched; road testers were ecstatic about the performance and handling of the big wagon. NEW The new model released in 2007 looked much like the previous model, but it was bigger, and for the first time there was seating for seven. There were lots of other upgrades too,
That's the last year of the E70 X5, so while it was a strong performer against it's contemporaries in about 2010, by 2013 it was a bit long in the tooth. The N55 has proven to be pretty reliable (compared to other turbocharged germans), but it's definitely still an SUV that needs to be on a regimented service life, or it will cost you.
How reliable is your E70? I bought my 2012 BMW-x5 3.0 when it was 2 years old with 32K miles on it. I am very happy with its performance but its reliability is a big question mark. During the 2 years of ownership, it had oil leak 2 times, coolant expansion tank crack, a bad transfer case, a crack hose from cooling system, some cosmetic AC vent

I've read the N63 is quite a bit better. I am looking to buy a 2012 and it has about 94k miles on it. Sale price is $19k. Clean carfax, 16 dealer records with nothing truly awful on there. I know forced induction is tougher on everything; my truck is supercharged. Many older threads showing the engines having awful issues between 60-100k miles.
The 2018 and 2017 BMW X5 models were the final iterations of the third generation introduced in 2014, both models were very reliable and received minimal complaints on the NHTSA website. Paddle shifters were made standard for the plug-in hybrid xDrive40e model of the 2018 X5, other than this, no major changes were implemented.
